Welcome to EuCAP 2013, the 7th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation
EuCAP 2013 will be held at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre in GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN
Conference: 8-12 April 2013 - Exhibition: 8-11 April 2013
EuCAP 2013 is organized yearly, since 2006, by the European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP).
Chalmers University of Technology welcomes EuCAP 2013 to Gothenburg (Göteborg), the microwave center of Sweden with well-known antenna companies such as Ericsson, Saab, RUAG Space and Bluetest; an ideal and unique meeting place in Europe for academia and industry to exchange the latest research in Antennas and Propagation.
Gothenburg is a quite valuable destination with a lot of touristic sites. It is actually rated as the 2nd "Best value destination in 2013" by Lonely Planet, next after Rio de Janeiro, see: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/themes/best-in-travel-2013/best-value-destinations/
The conference combines a diversity of formats:
· Plenary sessions with invited keynote papers
· Oral sessions (both convened and contributed)
· Posters (presented in same central area as the exhibition)
· Workshops, short courses
· Exhibition (in large hall in the center of everything)
Application Tracks :
For the first time, EuCAP 2013 will feature a sessions track focussing on applications. This will increase interaction between academia and industry. During abstract submission authors will be invited to allocate their contributions to one or more applications, enabling the formation of application tracks in the final program. Contributions not targeting a particular application will be allocated to regular sessions all along the week.
International rendezvous for Antennas and Propagation:
EuCAP is supported by the top-level associations in Antennas and Propagation, thus fostering true collaboration at European and global levels.
AMTA Europe will support the organization of the Exhibition, help with industrial activities, and give AMTA sessions.
Best paper awards and travel grants:
EuCAP will honor the authors of the best papers within each of the areas of measurements, propagation, antenna theory and antenna design.
ESoA (European School of Antennas) will recognize the best paper presented by a student.
There will also be given travel grants to authors of high-quality papers from developing countries.
